Sebastian Mullaert Launches Circle Of Live

Sebastian Mullaert has announced Circle Of Live, a brand new event series and record label which will focus solely on live acts.

Launching at this weekend’s Freerotation Festival in Herefordshire (UK) with Mathew Jonson, Dorisburg, Johanna Knutsson, Steevio & Suzybee. On his ambitious new live project, Mullaert explains, “The main intention with Circle of Live is to inspire people to improvise; let their life be an improvisation; a spontaneous expression of life. In one perspective this is a concept with clear visions and definitions but at the same time the core aim of the project is to allow both us, the artists, and the audience to drop concepts and habitual patterns in the creative process of dance and music.”

Already set to appear at a host of destinations from now through to next year which include Tel-Aviv (Israel), Lisbon (Portugal), Malmö (Sweden), Paris (France), Barcelona (Spain), Amsterdam (Holland), Berlin (Germany), Munich (Germany), Brussels (Belgium) and London (UK), Circle Of Live will use Sebastian’s specially designed live setup which can accommodate any number of participants performing all at once. In doing so artists are then allowed to collaborate when and wherever they like throughout the set creating an organic and original experience for all of the artists involved and those in attendance of the performance.

Artists already confirmed for Circle Of Live appearances in the future include: Âme (Live), Aurora Halal, Dorisburg, Eitan Reiter, Johanna Knutsson, Leafar Legov, Ljudbilden & Piloten, Mathew Jonson, Neel, Sebastian Mullaert, Steevio & Suzybee, The Mole, Tobias

Whilst details regarding the label arm of the Swedish techno veteran’s new project are limited it will feature selected cuts from artists involved in the label released as an EP series “consolidating a snapshot into the weird and wonderful manifestations of collaborative live performances”.

The first release on the Circle Of Live label will be titled ‘Loop For Today’ which will be available on both 12″ vinyl and also digitally.

‘Loop For Today’ will be available on September 14th.
